I was getting bored making the same idli, dosa, upma, poha and so on for breakfast.. As I woke up much earlier today morning, I decided to experiment baking the idlis in my cupcake mould.

The process is so simple…just greese the mould with minimum oil. Add a pinch of cooking soda in the idli batter and mix well. Now pour batter in all the cups of the mould, fill only half of each cups, as the idlis would rise. I baked my idlis at 180 deg in my gas oven for about 15 to 18 mins until it was done.

After removing from the oven, I let it cool for 10 mins and then removed them from the mould and served it with chutney or the more appropriate molaga podi!!
